Hamburger Cupcakes & Sugar Cookie Fries

When Roxanne Wickware of Roxy Cakes in Toronto was asked by clients to create a fun treat for the little ones at their wedding, she created these ridiculously adorable hamburger cupcakes with sugar cookie fries. The hamburger cupcake was made of two vanilla cupcake buns with chocolate cupcake patties. But the best part is that guests could dress their cupcake burgers with tinted frosting inside bottles that mimicked popular condiments. So much fun and a great diversion for young guests! These photos show Roxanne’s prototypes, tested on Benjamin, the 2-year old son of photographer Mary Clarke of Lemon Fresh Designs Photography. As you can see, he loved them (and we do too)!

    Is that real cheese? I’m just wondering if you used that for the photoshoot or if there is something else you found as a replacement? Such an adorable idea!! I definitely want to make these for my next party!! Thanks for the beautiful pictures and cute idea!!

    Hi Vanessa – Everything is real! Roxy created the cheese out of fondant that she coloured and rolled out. All the food was completely edible and delicious without being “too sweet”, and did I mention how wonderful our home smelled during the shoot? Heavenly!
