Matryoshka Doll Themed Birthday Party

Little Sydney’s love for her matryoshka dolls inspired the theme for her 2nd birthday party, designed by her mom Jennifer Bishop. The starting point for the design came from this fabric pattern. Luckily Jennifer already had a few items that fit right in with the event, like the frames, beaded napkins and tiny benches. She wanted to be sure this matryoshka doll themed birthday party first focused on fun for the kiddos, and her friend Jen’s home fit the bill perfectly with a swing set, trampoline, baby pool, and so on! Next on the list was to be sure the menu would work for toddlers who can be notoriously picky. She came up with the creative idea of displaying a wide selection of healthy foods in ice cube trays! Here’s the full list of items: cheese cubes, cucumber, corn, blueberries, cheddar bunnies, strawberries, edamame, pretzels, peas, organic cheese puffs, raisins, meatballs, vanilla bear cookies, and raspberries. Yummy and pretty at the same time. Jennifer also made snack mix favor bags with a digital file purchased on Etsy. For dessert, guests enjoyed matroyshka doll cake pops along with cupcakes. I LOVE the snack tray idea. My 2 year old just loves to snack, instead of sitting and eating a full meal. So this will be just perfect for her. Thanks for the simple yet clever idea.
