We love nurseries that tie in something personal to the family, like in this vintage travel themed nursery in New York City for baby Malachy. His parents, Robert and Kathleen, are photographers who love to travel, which served as the perfect inspiration for this beautiful space. Their own photographs from their travel provided much of the artwork. Dad Rob also wanted to tie in airplanes, which of course fits perfectly with a travel theme, but is also something he has loved since he was a child. Another adorable personalized touch is the name canvas, custom created by Kathleen, with their son’s name written across a map of Manhattan on the street they live on. There are a lot of vintage touches that complete the look, like the suitcase they found at a local flea market in their Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and the postcards on the bulletin board above the crib. You can see more from this great space in the full gallery.
