This simple and sweet DIY baby shower was planned by Susie Papadin for her sister-in-law Lauren, who has a little boy in the way. Rebecca Gosselin captured all of the lovely photos. Friends and family came from all over the San Francisco area to attend this Sonoma shower at The Collection Event Studio, and Lauren’s mom actually made a surprise trip from Colorado to be there. The guests enjoyed a homemade menu that included Lauren’s mother-in-law’s Russian crêpes, filled with meats, onions and herbs, along with a variety of cheeses and breads. For dessert, attendees enjoyed vegan cupcakes from Fox and Fawn and warm apple cider.
If you’re looking for a great baby shower idea, we think you’ll love the make-a-mobile station from this event. Guests decorated pieces of the mobile that would later be hung in the baby’s nursery. They also left sweet notes and advice at the little “Leave a note for baby” station. They ended the shower with a super sweet ceremony in which each person talked about how she knew Lauren and what she wished for Lauren’s pregnancy, birth, and thereafter.
