A distance of 1,200 miles didn’t stop San Francisco based Heidi from Spitfiregirl Design from planning and designing her friend Kristi’s whimsical mid-century modern owl themed baby shower all the way in Denver, Colorado. The theme was inspired by baby Colin’s modern owl nursery and his parents love of mid-century modern furniture. The orange, turquoise, and brown color palette also came from Colin’s nursery. For the decor, Heidi brought in mid-century elements like the little owls and the fabulous macrame owl, along with some personal details of parents Kristi and Chris that she secretly gathered from the grandparents. Vintage cake plates and bowls set upon chevron and burlap runners added to the charm. The florals by Pink Posey Design featured vibrant pops of orange protea and dahlias, yellow billy balls and mums, and red anemones, mini-artichokes and succulents. Guests enjoyed an amazing array of treats from Teacup Shop, including an almond cake, red velvet cupcakes, mango pâtes de fruit, and blueberry and mango macarons.
