This elegant soiree, designed beautifully by Beth O’Brien and Julianne deSilva, was definitely not your typical baby shower. Together Beth and Julianne planned a sophisticated, intimate evening event for Beth’s sister Laura that surely none of the guests will ever forget. There is something so wonderfully cozy and intimate about a fireside shower and we adore this idea. Beth had a vision of ambient light, a long dining table, and a soothing color palette, which all came together perfectly. Every detail is positively lovely: the classic invitations and menus from Sugar Paper, the flawless calligraphy by Liz Holtzman, the beautiful White Collection dinnerware from Casa De Perrin paired with the antiqued silverware, and the chevron table runner. Guests dined on expecting mom Laura’s favorite meal, prepared by her chef husband, and later enjoyed an array of delicious cakes from Cake Monkey Bakery.
