Pretty Pink Owl Themed Baby Shower

You will absolutely fall in love with this soft and feminine owl themed baby shower, designed by Lauren Stewart Designs + Events. After finding an adorable little white owl vase at Anthropologie, Lauren had the perfect inspiration for expecting mom Aili’s baby shower. She worked with Megan Catherina-Nelson at Sugar Paper to design and create the custom owl invitations to coordinate with the theme. The owl motif continued through to the signage and other paper goods Lauren created, all of which are absolutely lovely in a light and feminine color palette of soft pink, white, and sand. Little owls also made an appearance in the pretty centerpieces, standing atop children’s books covered in wrapping paper from Anthropologie.

In lieu of a traditional guestbook, guests filled out “wishes for baby” and “advice for mom” cards, which Aili is assembling into a keepsake album. More love from the guests continued at the onesie station, where they used a selection of paint, stencils, and paint pens to decorate onesies. Stencils are such a great idea because your guests can be creative, but also have a little help at crafting a lovely outfit! The activities continued with shower games that included a “Then and Now” baby photo challenge and a celebrity baby name game — perfect for Aili, who is an editor at People Magazine, and for so many of the guests who also work in media.

With Aili’s love of the ocean, they chose Shutters on the Beach to host the event, which also provided a tasty brunch for the guests. After brunch, they were treated to a gorgeous and delicious spread of treats created by Sweet and Saucy Shop. Lauren created some little to-go bags using stamps, an owl punch, and candy striped washi tape from Sugar Paper so guests could take treats home with them. The beautiful images were captured by Marisa Holmes Photographer, and you can see much more in the full gallery.

Amazing shower…WOW!!! :) What paint and paint pens did you use at the onesie station? I would love to do that activity at a shower I’m throwing…but I want to make sure that the onesies we make can go through the washing machine — and that the paint won’t come off! Thanks! :)
