This baby shower was a bit extra special for Sweet Root Village to plan, as expecting mom Rachel is one of its owners. Sweet Root Village is an event company specializing in photography, floral decor, and wedding coordination, so of course Rachel and co-owner Lauren had fun putting their expertise to work to create this elegant baby shower. The happy, romantic floral arrangements throughout the space bring in a feminine feeling to the decor, while the rustic touches and homemade treats made by Rachel’s mom keep it cozy and warm. Guests participated in a raffle with prizes, and they also took home a “tea to go” favor with an individually wrapped tea bag packaged in a small paper bag and tied with a yellow cord. Such a perfect thank you for this lovely afternoon shower! Stop by the full gallery to see more.

I absolutely love the white vases with individual colorful blooms as well as the favor bags and brown paper packages. Thanks for sharing.
where did the photo garland come from? DIY? How did you get it printed? I love it!!!
Ali, thank you! A friend gifted me with a maternity shoot (http://www.jewelpeachblog.com/post/22675248821/29-rachel) and I used Adobe InDesign to make circled photos with a yellow lined border (to match the other signs and tags) and printed them at FedEx Kinkos on white card stock, then cut them out myself and made the garland!
Rachel, Who designed the decorations? It’s AMAZING! Like from a magazine. Wowzers!!!!
Kathy Salberg, thank you! Lauren and I designed everything. She created all the floral pieces and displays, and I did all the graphic design work and favors and raffle items. Then we helped my mom put together the food display.
