The nautical theme is a popular choice for a little boy’s nursery, and this one for baby Max is a wonderful example. Dark navy walls can be unexpected in a nursery, but they work so well here. The addition of vibrant yellow and pops of aqua make it all so playful and fun. Some highlights of this cute space include the eye-catching whale from Slippin’ Southern, the rustic growth chart, and anchor pillow. One budget saver to make note of from this room is the IKEA chair that has been converted into a swivel glider with this online tutorial. Gliders can easily destroy your budget, so this is an idea worth saving! Laura Marchbanks Photography captured all of these lovely photos, and you can see more in the full gallery.

I love the dark walls in this room! So unexpected but I love it. I wish I’d known IKEA hacker had that tutorial. I converted an upholstered chair into a glider but I just had to wing it at the time. It’s held up great though!
Love this!! I think white with navy and yellow is my fave :-) Great job!
Love the room!!! Do you know where the artwork above the crib is from?
Thanks!
