Vibrant Moroccan Themed Baby Shower

This Moroccan themed baby shower, hosted by Jessie Jane of Lilyshop along with five friends, is full of vibrant color and tons of creative handmade details! The mom-to-be, Jessica, along with the shower guests were treated to a beautiful evening event that included a Moroccan feast, a little olive bar, tea bar, a gorgeous spread of Moroccan inspired desserts, and even Henna artist Elizabeth from Los Angeles Henna! The fabulous dessert bar was lined with decorative paper and included homemade cinnamon rolls with cute “bun in the oven” tags, cupcakes that mimicked henna with purple frosting, homemade baklava placed in hot pink Moroccan paper, and a selection of delicious candy.

Guests snacked from a little olive bar with four different kinds of olives, served with small gold plates. For more Moroccan touches, Jessie rented these pretty Moroccan pillows, added colored mason jars (click here for a tutorial!), and printed simple signs to be displayed in frames that went with the theme.

When she couldn’t find a table runner in the right color, Jessie cleverly used beautiful printed paper from Paper Source instead. The table was adorned with Coxcomb centerpieces created by Cathy from Hollywood Vines and accented with scattered rose petals. Each place setting also held a giant baby bottle with candy, with room inside to take more home from the dessert bar. Jessie made these herself by spray painting the top gold and then adding gold dots of puffy paint down the middle. She used a tag punch to make glitter tags stamped with “thank you”.

For party favors, guests received Moroccan soaps in embellished boxes, as well as handmade evil eye bracelets created by the mama-to-be!
