Expecting parents Kyle and Allison of Studio 28 Photo wanted their baby shower to be coed, bright, and cheery. With those goals in mind, their friend Ashley of Beloved Indeed Paperie created this fun, fiesta themed event that was absolutely perfect for a backyard baby shower. Ashley began with the beautiful invitations that were inspired by papel picado, which is the Mexican folk art of paper cut into elaborate designs. The design was printed onto two panels of vellum in a bold hot pink that were then strung together with gold twine, then hole punched to give the feeling of papel picado. So fresh and fun!
Ashley then teamed up with a friend to tackle the task of creating all the decorations and paper goods. Oh Happy Day had some helpful tutorials, which inspired the papel picado that lined the patio and fence and the adorable mini piñata favors. More details included colorful tissue paper flowers displayed over the bar, custom chair signs for Kyle and Allison, and an array of vibrant ribbon hanging from the tree. Guests enjoyed a margarita bar along with a fajita and taco lunch, then finished it off with Sweet and Saucy Shop‘s delicious cake pops and churros for dessert. Yum! Instead of traditional baby shower games, guests played a cornhole tournament. All of the details were captured by the parents-to-be, Allison and Kyle of Studio 28 Photo , and you can see all of the photos submitted in the full gallery!
