Beautiful expecting mama LaVey and her husband Tyson love all things Red Sox. It was the red, navy, and white of their favorite team’s colors that became the inspiration for the palette of the baby shower. Tyson’s sister Kallie planned the day and made it happen with the help of some friends and vendors of LaVey, who is a talented makeup artist in Las Vegas. She Paperie created adorable paper goods in navy and red with accents of kraft paper, while a dessert table featured a perfectly coordinated cake by Peridot Sweets. It’s time to put on your cowboy boots and mosey on over for a fun family hoedown birthday party! Ruthie McDonald of Eutopia Events teamed up with her business partner to create this charming western inspired bash for her son Leo’s first birthday. The theme inspiration came from Ruthie’s mom, a huge western fan, which is evident in her collection of hats they used to set up a cute “Hat Rental” station. So fun!

The decor paired perfectly with the theme, featuring rustic burlap, beautiful sunflowers, hay bale seating, and hand painted wooden signs. The party was full of fun activities, including hay rides, sack races, apple bobbing, and lawn games. They topped off the day with individual s’mores packets for guests to toast up on the fire. More sweet goodness followed them home in some adorable Western themed cookie favors from Crumbs Cookies and Cakes. When it came time to plan her baby shower, Kelly Catron of Gigi Noelle Events knew right away it would be a pretty, Southern pink event! It was the perfect way to celebrate her baby girl Skylar on the way. As an event planner, Kelly has the opportunity to work many wonderful vendors who often become like family, and she was excited to have their help on her own shower.

The beautiful venue, Litchfield Plantation, fit the vibe so well and provided a gorgeous backdrop for the event. Kelly decorated the space with plenty of pink and glitter, handmade touches, and lovely centerpieces made with the help of Debbie in the Gigi Noelle Events floral department. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of food from Creative Catering including pasta salad, chicken salad, cheese and fruit displays, quiche, and sliders. No sweet tooth went unsatisfied, with a well stocked dessert bar featuring a pretty three tiered cake from Bradley of Cupcakes by Cravinleys. With pilots and mechanics in the family, a cars and planes themed nursery was perfect for baby Max, and his mom Deanne put a lot of love into creating for him. Max’s dad Brent is a mechanic, which provided a great opportunity to convert mechanic shop items into fun nursery decor. A drip pan was converted into a magnet board, while hubcaps made for great wall decoration. More DIY items can be found in the custom bedding and curtains, sewn with love by Max’s grandmother. Deanne also used a cute advice tree that the guests at her baby shower made in the nursery’s palette. Everything came together to result in a space that is truly personal to this sweet family. This baby shower is full of homespun charm and pretty, shabby chic details! Expecting mom Natalie of Our Love In October adores everything mustaches and bows and thought it would make the perfect theme for her shower. Natalie brought in lots of cute mustache and bow details, including a sweet garland made by her sisters, glass drinking jars wrapped with little bows, and even some shortbread “mo’s” for the guests. “Inside I styled a beautiful drinks station with vintage teacups, saucers and a teapot (hired from Fancy Tea), glass jars with bows and stripy straws, and a bow and mo mason jar with forks and spoons. My sisters made a cute paper garland of bows and moustaches to hang behind the drinks station.”

“Sitting next to the drinks station was my collection of bows and mo’s on sticks, along with our bow’s and mo’s themed paper goods and an adorable photo of me with my sisters and my nephew with our mo’s. Guests were asked to wear their guess (a bow or a mo) depending on whether they thought our little bundle will be a boy or a girl!”

“My fabulous guests were invited to a lovely morning tea at home. We sat outside at timber tables with mismatched vintage timber chairs. The tables were decorated with rustic paper placemats (free printables from Design Sponge) with white and blue ceramic plates. Down the centre of the tables sat beautiful mason jars tied with lace and filled with fresh flowers from the farmer’s markets.”

“Between the flowers stood my collection of glass and ceramic cakeplates covered in delicious desserts and treats made by my Mum, sister and myself. We baked treats that included white chocolate tarts with raspberries, mini lemon cheesecakes, a hazelnut meringue slice, a three-tiered raspberry layered cake, mini croissants and little savoury tarts. Jade from Cake Star also created mini caramel cupcakes with bows for us. In glass bottles stood our handmade moustache cookies on sticks. In each mini dessert and treat sat paper food tags.”

For Jackson’s first birthday, his mom Tabitha of Roberts & Co. Events created a fun Pancakes and PJs birthday brunch for their friends and family to celebrate. Tabitha brought the whole design together with bunting and blue ombre, including a homemade ombre smash cake just for Jackson! Guests enjoyed a create your own pancake station along with delicious brunch treats and mini boxes of cereal to go. If you love boho style, this baby shower is definitely going to steal your heart! Photographer Jackie Culmer styled and designed this gorgeous event to honor her dear friend Celeste. Jackie had help from some of Celeste’s creative friends to bring the “Boho Dream” theme to life. Every detail is just so soft and lovely, from fresh spring flowers and lace, to touches of gold and crocheted accents. Jackie shared all the details with us:

“I was overjoyed for my very dear friend, Celeste, when I found out she was expecting a baby girl. She had been trying for over three years and had given up. She told me it was like a dream she never thought would come true. For her baby shower, I teamed up with her other very talented friends and my go-to creative genius Larrissa Rehder, of Inviting Occasion to create a Boho Dream Baby Shower. I started with the invitation. I had seen an illustration by Kelli Murray of this baby deer and contacted her. She kindly sold me the art to use and I designed the rest of the invite, adding a floral crown and the phrase “They made a wish, and she came true.” For decor, I thrifted vintage doilies and lace to create the hanging dreamcatcher backdrop, and the table was lined with beautiful spring flowers including baby’s breath, chamomile daisies, and ranunculus in amazing glass and gold painted organic looking vessels. And then we accented with crochet and lace overlays, gold, coral, deer antlers, pictures of the mother-to-be, and other vintage trinkets. Guests were greeted with a special cocktail bar provided by Nektar Juice. We got to try out the delicious blood orange and grapefruit mix with champagne or a Basil Berry vodka. Our menu was all of Celeste’s favorite foods made my her best friends. I especially loved the salad, complete with edible wildflowers. Congratulations to you, Celeste! We love you and can’t wait to meet baby Hollyne.”
